I was really excited because I had a message…
and then it turned out to be spam.
heidi-fitness asked: your percheron mares probably aren't too thrilled about being ridden back to the barn in those bridles because you have the bit placed too high in the mouth, there should be 2 wrinkles in the corner of the mouth behind the bit, not 1million. Im doing this off anon because i'm not meaning to criticise, just advise on making the horses more comfortable :)
Heyo, thank you for your concern but I assure you those bits are placed just fine and the horses don’t complain about them either. These girls naturally have wrinkly mouths so it looks like there are an excessive number of wrinkles. I have been riding and driving horses for quite some time now, ten plus years, and know what I am doing. The Horse Barn manager has been driving for 22 years and everything is okay for him. You are more than welcome to come out to Davis and check on the Perchies if you are really that concerned, but again, the placement of the bits is fine.
